Founded in 1853, the Gateway Region YMCA serves nearly 325,000 individuals in the bi-state region.

We believe that giving back and inspiring action is a key part of strengthening communities. In 2021, our YMCA celebrated

 $2.76 Million in Financial Assistance

given to those in need to participate in Y programs and services.


2,250 Children Equipped

with drowning prevention skills through discounted swim lessons and swim outreach programs.


 715 Individuals Served

through Inclusion & Adaptive Support Services, including 74 in Integrated Fitness programming.

213 Participants in YMCA Chronic Disease Prevention Programs

including Diabetes Prevention, Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring, and liveSTRONG® at the YMCA.


1,163 Volunteers

gave 34,700 hours to strengthen their community.
