The best way to enjoy the waterpark is with a YMCA membership. Waterpark access is FREE and included for all Gateway Region YMCA members. This benefit applies to members across all 25 branches throughout St. Louis and Illinois.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our concession stand offers a wide variety of food and drinks to meet your every need.

Food, beverage and coolers may not be brought inside the park. Unopened water bottles are permitted or refillable water bottles with ice only are permitted.

We do suggest you wear comfortable sandals or aqua shoes. We don't recommend street shoes. "Heely" and "Rollies" style shoes are not permitted. Wheels must be removed or retracted from shoes.

Yes, on hot days the concrete does get hot. For our guests' comfort we strongly recommend water shoes, flip flops or sandals.

Our bathhouse is equipped with showers and changing facilities. Lockers are available to rent with a credit card and located right outside the bathhouse.

We provide tubes free of charge for all attractions that require a tube.

Parking is FREE!

Please bring your own beach towels or we have them available for purchase at the retail stand.

We do have a limited amount of lifejackets for use. We also sell lifejackets. You are welcome to bring your own U.S. Coast Guard approved flotation device. They must be U.S. Coast Guard Approved.

To avoid becoming separated from your party, make arrangements to meet at a designated area before you begin your day. If your small child gets lost, please go to Guest Services or contact the nearest staff member.

Appropriate swim attire required; no cut-off denim or jean shorts, provocative, thong or thong-like bathing suits, swim attire with rivets, buckles, belts or metal ornaments. Appropriate swim attire rules are strictly enforced. Failure to comply with any part of the dress code may result in ejection from the park without refund.

For the safety of all guests, children still in diapers must wear a swim diaper in the water. We also sell swim diapers in the retail stand. Please do not change diapers on the pool deck. You may use the changing stations located in the restrooms.

Foul language and unruly behavior will not be tolerated. No alcohol, weapons, knives or firearms are allowed on the premises. No running, spitting, or throwing of objects permitted. No solicitation or distribution of literature on park property.

All major credit cards as well as Apple Pay are accepted at the ticket stand, retail shop, & concession stand.

We currently do not have an ATM.

Outside rafts or tubes are not allowed. Only life jackets that are Coast Guard approved are allowed.

If you are planning to purchase 20 or more tickets be sure to call 1-week ahead to schedule your group. Only a limited amount of group discounts are available per day.

  • Slides – 48” minimum height 
  • Kid play area – No one over 48” is allowed in this area unless supervising a child under the 48” height.

River Rapids Waterpark is committed to ensure the safety of our guests. The park employs certified Starguard Lifeguards.

River Rapids Waterpark and the entire surrounding property is a tobacco free campus.

Anyone under the age of 12 must have an adult 16 or older with them to enter the waterpark.

No outside food or drink is allowed except unopened water bottles or refillable bottles with ice only. You have 15 minute passes to go to your vehicle to enjoy your lunch.

Only U.S. Coast Guard Approved flotation devices are allowed.

You may get a 15 minute pass but must return within the 15 minutes or repay to enter.

If the park closes for the day and you are in the park for less than 2 hours you will receive a rainy-day pass to return a different day. If you have been at the park for 2 hours or more then there are no refunds issued.

Yes we have a zero depth entry that is wheel chair accessible, we have lifts that will also lower a person into the water in the river as well as the lap pool. There is a ramp to access the middle of the park by the lazy river.
