The Four Rivers Family YMCA is a full-facility YMCA that features an indoor pool, fitness center, gymnasium, rec center, group exercise room, cycling studio and Child Watch area. Group exercise and water fitness classes are included in membership and personal training is available. For youth, the Four Rivers Y offers swim lessons, sports, summer day camp, before and after school enrichment programs and more. The Y is committed to ensuring everyone can enjoy the Y and makes financial assistance available. We offer a great variety of programs and activities that help people of all ages and abilities grow in spirit, mind and body, and we work to strengthen community.

The Four Rivers Area Family YMCA, originally named the Washington Area Family YMCA, was established in 1985 as a program site of the South County Branch. Programs first operated out of the Army Reserve Building then moved to the Knights of Columbus Hall, and eventually to the LeKnight Club Building. In 1991, the Y received five acres of land adjoining the Park District sports fields on Grand Avenue from the Washington Area Chamber of Commerce. A capital campaign was conducted and in 1998, construction was completed on a new 33,000 square foot family facility featuring a pool, gymnasium with suspended running track, fitness center, multi-purpose room, nursery, and locker rooms for men, women and families. An addition was completed in 2009, expanding the wellness center, adding group exercise and cycling rooms and expanding the nursery.
