Traditional Sports

The Y offers year-round team sports for kids of all ages and skill levels. Every child plays at least half of every game. We welcome Y members and non-members to participate, practice and play.  Most sports are offered in 8-week sessions with one game and one practice per week for children K-8. Preschool sports typically have one practice per week with a scrimmage at the end of the season. Register now!

Sports offered at this branch include: Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, and T-Ball.

Esports

Esports is a competitive sport through a video game requiring the use of strategy, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills to achieve individual or team success. And it’s bigger than ‘just gaming’. Esports allows teens to be engaged in a non-traditional sports program. Esports will be available for youth ages 9 - 17. Youth will compete against other YMCA Participants in a supervised setting. Learn more about Esports or register for available leagues at the Bayer YMCACarondelet Park Rec Complex, or O'Fallon Park Rec Complex

At the Y, teens feel welcome and have proven success.  We offer activities and programs for teens that provide them with academic assistance, employment opportunities and other life skills, all while having fun!

Teen Tech Center

The Teen Tech Center is a place where teens can develop critical skills through hands-on activities that explore their interests in coding, radio production, robotics, fashion design, music production, and more. We work to bridge the digital divide by giving youth access to STEAM education opportunities, relationships that help to build confidence, and a foundation for school and career success. Teens who engage in our programs will learn new skills that will open and expand opportunities for their future. Registration is required for programs. Other areas of the Teen Tech Center will not require registration and will be first-come, first-served on a walk-in basis. Learn more today about the Teen Tech Center!

Leaders Club

Leaders Club is a program for teens, ages 13-18 that provides opportunities for personal and professional development. Teens plan out service projects, discuss upcoming events and trips, and vote on which types of development opportunities they would either like to attend or bring into their future meetings. Leaders elect officers on an annual basis who serve as club president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary. These officers have additional responsibilities and assist their advisor to support their peers and ensure the success of the club. Learn more today about Leaders Club!

The values and skills learned early in life are vital building blocks for a successful adulthood, and we believe all kids deserve a strong start and a safe place to grow. Parents trust the Y’s child care programs to support and nurture their children from infancy through the teen years and help them become strong, capable and engaged young people.

Summer Day Camp

At Y camp, kids have the opportunity to explore, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories. And, above all, it’s so fun! We offer camp throughout the entire summer! Our camps are designed for a wide variety of conventional interests that include arts & crafts, group games, nature exploration, swimming, field trips and more. Camps are themed weekly. Most camp activities are held outdoors with indoor activities provided based on the day and theme. Day campers are divided into groups by the grade level they are entering in the fall.
