Agenda:
- Conference Dates: November 9th - 11th, 2023
- Travel Details: Buses will depart from designated locations between 7:30 am and 8:30 am on November 9th and return at approximately 3:00 pm on the 11th.
Transportation:
Your school's transportation to and from the conference will be organized by the Gateway Region YMCA. Your students will travel with other high schools or middle schools. The pick-up time is scheduled for November 9th at your assigned school location, and the return trip from Jefferson City is planned for Saturday, November 11th, with an estimated arrival time of 3:00 pm.
Attire:
For the conference, please ensure that your students adhere to the following dress code:
- School Uniform
- Black/Brown Pants
- Button Down Shirt/Polo
If your school delegation requires clothing for the conference, please promptly inform Jacob Henderson.
Registration & Financial Assistance:
In terms of program costs, the registration fee for each student is $275. If any students require financial assistance, they must follow these steps:
- Complete the state financial application first: www.moyag.org.
- Apply for assistance through the Gateway Region YMCA financial aid program: https://gwrymca.org/programs/youth-and-government.
Financial Assistance will cover hotel accommodations and conference fees.
Meals:
Dinner on Friday night and lunch on Saturday are typically included in the conference. Additionally, you have the option to have us order sandwiches for your delegation for lunch on Thursday when we arrive. Many delegations bring fruit, granola bars, or muffins for breakfast. However, dinner on Thursday and lunch on Friday will need to be covered by students or your delegation.
Chaperones:
Transportation and hotel accommodations for chaperones will be covered by the Missouri Alliance. All chaperones must complete a volunteer matters application. Please contact Jacob Henderson to complete the application.
