Offered throughout the entire summer, Traditional Day Camps are designed for a wide variety of conventional interests that may include arts & crafts, group games, nature exploration, swimming, field trips and more. Camps are themed weekly. Most camp activities are held outdoors with indoor activities provided based on the day and theme. Day campers are divided into groups by grade level or age.

Special interest camps are designed to offer activities focused on a particular interest while incorporating overall traditional Y camp principles. Camp size may be smaller and may be offered either indoors or outdoors based on the specific interest. From 9 am-noon, campers participate in their special interest camp. From noon-4 pm, campers participate in traditional camp activities.

2024 Special Interest Camps:

Arts & Humanities Camps

Our arts & humanities camps encourage personal expression and the freedom to create, and provide new experiences for kids. Creativity abounds at the Y.

Aquatics Camp

Aquatic camps are designed for swimmers of all levels. Your child will become comfortable in the water, increase swimming skills, practice water safety and receive a great start to refining skills while making friends and having fun! Activities include swim lessons, games, water safety skills and splash time.

Our aquatic camp is Aqua Kids.

Sports Camps

Campers spend their day immersed in a specific sport learning fundamental skills and then applying those skills in a game setting. The focus is on introducing and/or improving skills for each sport with emphasis on individual skill development, teamwork, and building self-confidence in an environment that encourages having fun and making friends.

Sports camps include Baseball and Volleyball.

The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program at the St. Charles Countyt YMCA offers teens ages 14-17 the opportunity to gain practical experience working with campers while cultivating essential skills and knowledge. The program's primary goal is to empower teens with leadership abilities that extend to their school, home, and community life.

Families interested in the CIT program should submit their applications by April 12, 2024. Once an application is received, the Camp Director will contact the applicant to arrange an interview and screening, finalizing the selection process. It's important to note that due to limited space, not all interviewed applicants will be selected.

Program Requirements:

Time Period: Minimum of 4 Weeks
Hours: 8:45 am-4 pm
Fee: $45 per week
Participants exceeding 4 weeks will not be charged for week 5 and beyond.
