Offered throughout the entire summer, Traditional Summer Day Camps are designed for a wide variety of conventional interests that may include arts & crafts, group games, nature exploration, swimming, field trips and more. Camps are themed weekly. Most camp activities are held outdoors with indoor activities provided based on the day and theme. Day campers are divided into groups by grade level or age.

The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program at the South City YMCA offers teens ages 13-17 the opportunity to gain practical experience working with campers while cultivating essential skills and knowledge. The program's primary goal is to empower teens with leadership abilities that extend to their school, home, and community life.

Families interested in the CIT program should submit their applications by April 12, 2024. Once an application is received, the Camp Director will contact the applicant to arrange an interview and screening, finalizing the selection process. It's important to note that due to limited space, not all interviewed applicants will be selected.

Program Requirements:

Time Period: Minimum of 4 Weeks
Hours: 8:45 am-4 pm
Fee: $45 per week
Participants exceeding 4 weeks will not be charged for weeks 5-12.
