2024-25 BLACK-OUT DATES
Fort Zumwalt School District: 8/12-8/30/24
Y Club registration black-out dates are designed for the safety of the children. These are dates we cannot process new registrations. Black-out-dates allow us to prepare for the first day of school by ensuring all forms are on-site for faculty and staff, a state child care guideline, and to provide current rosters and complete preparations for the start of the program.
You can still enroll for Y Club during black-out dates, and we will place your child on a waiting list. Registration processing will re-open on the first day of school. It typically takes two business days for us to process registrations and provide the forms to schools.
Registrations are not complete until you have provided all required forms and you have received your child's start date in written notification from the Y.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE
Whenever a neighbor needs support, the Y is ready to help with open arms and caring hearts. We feel strongly that anyone who wants to be a part of the Y has the opportunity, regardless of his or her ability to pay. Therefore, we offer financial assistance to those individuals who qualify. Funds for this assistance come from the generous support of those who give to our Annual Campaign.
YMCA Before and After-School programming is designed to help kids in our community succeed developmentally and academically. We focus on a well-rounded curriculum with 9 components that are 21st Century Skills, Arts & STEAM Activities, Global Exploration, Health & Wellness (BOKS - Building Our Kids’ Success), Leadership Development, Service Learning, Family & Parent Engagement, Guest Speakers and SEL - Social Emotional Learning.
Our staff are concerned about each child and strive to provide safe and fun experiences for all. We encourage children to participate, develop ideas, and most of all, have fun! Our staff are certified in CPR/First Aid, child abuse prevention and reporting, and emergency action plans. All staff have criminal background checks, child abuse clearances, and fingerprinting clearances. Our trained staff are experienced in working with children and look forward to playing a key role in your child’s educational program.
Welcome to Inclusion & Adaptive Support Services, whether you're a returning or first-time Y Club participant. Fostering a supportive and enriching environment for children with diverse abilities is the primary focus of inclusive and adaptive programs. The Gateway Region YMCA provides trained staff and accessible spaces to help ensure program opportunities for every child. When you register online for Y Club, indicate any needs your child may have and the Y branch will email you more information and the required forms so we can ensure a safe, successful, and meaningful experience. If additional support is needed, we provide trained staff at no extra cost.
Key Points to Note:
- Registrations are processed based on the order of receipt at the branch and subsequently by the organization's Inclusion & Adaptive Support Services department
- To avoid delay in the registration process, fully complete and provide all requested documents.
- Please allow at least two weeks for processing, especially during peak enrollment times.
- Your child's start date depends on the staffing and capacity situation at the branch, regardless of their support needs.
- We ensure information is securely handled per HIPAA guidelines.
- Additional information may be requested.
While we make every effort to accommodate, there may be situations where a child's needs exceed the scope of our recreational, non-therapeutic programs.
