Support and Resources for Life's Tougher Moments

Whatever you're carrying - you don't have to carry it alone.
The YMCA, in partnership with the Illinois Department of Human Services, is offering helpful resources and support for those navigating life's ups and downs.
Life can feel overwhelming sometimes—and the ways we try to manage stress don't always bring the relief we hope for. Substance use can quietly become a challenge before we even realize it.
It might feel like you're on your own, but you're not. Even when the way forward seems unclear, the Y is here to walk alongside you.
Getting back on track starts with small, manageable steps. We've put together some simple tools and ideas to help you cope and feel more in control. View the website for ways to manage stress, breathing techniques, mindfulness videos, and so much more.
Take the First Step
At the Y, you'll always find a welcoming space and a supportive community. Whether it's joining a group exercise class, swimming some laps, or just stopping by, we're here for you—whatever you need, whenever you're ready.
Additional Support from the Y

Mental Health Resources
We all have mental health. However, we aren't always comfortable talking about it. The Y strives to support a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. One way we do this is by helping adults, especially parents and other caregivers, get comfortable talking with youth and each other about mental health.

Social Services Support
The Gateway Region YMCA Community Health Navigator can connect you to community resources, and provide personalized support to meet your immediate needs to help you work towards a healthier mind, body, and spirit.
