Summer Camp at the Y is a time for kids to explore, discover, and create in a place that encourages confidence and community.
We offer 11 weeks of camp from June 5 to August 18 for ages 5-14. Camp hours are 9 am-4 pm. All camps are held at or based from the Chesterfield Family YMCA. In addition, we offer Fun Club, the Y's Before & After Camp Care, which is available as an add-on to all camps at an additional fee. Fun Club allows campers to arrive as early as 7 am and/or stay as late as 6 pm. Fun Club is available for campers ages 5-14.

Offered throughout the entire summer, these camps are designed for various conventional interests, including arts & crafts, group games, nature exploration, swimming, field trips, and more. Camps are themed weekly. Most camp activities are held outdoors with indoor activities provided based on the day and theme. Day campers are divided into groups by the grade level they are entering in the fall. At Camp Seneca with a Splash we have free swim lessons and participate in Go For Green, an initiative to teach all kids to swim.
Registrations must be completed by the Wednesday prior to the camp start date for the week. Registrations made after this date will acquire a $10 late fee.
Special interest camps are designed to offer activities focused on a particular interest while incorporating overall traditional Y camp principles. Camp size may be smaller and may be offered either indoors or outdoors based on the specific interest. From 9 am-noon, campers participate in their special interest camp. From noon-4 pm, campers participate in traditional camp activities.
Registrations must be completed by the Wednesday prior to the camp start date for the week. Registrations made after this date will acquire a $10 late fee.
Our arts & humanities camps encourage personal expression and the freedom to create, and provide new experiences for kids. Creativity abounds at the Y.

Aquatic camps are designed for swimmers of all levels. Your child will become comfortable in the water, increase swimming skills, practice water safety and receive a great start to refining skills while making friends and having fun! Activities include swim lessons, games, water safety skills and splash time.
Campers spend their day immersed in a specific sport learning fundamental skills and then applying those skills in a game setting. The focus is on introducing and/or improving skills for each sport with emphasis on individual skill development, teamwork, and building self-confidence in an environment that encourages having fun and making friends.
Fun Club, the Y's Before & After Camp Care, is available as an add-on to all camps at an additional fee. Fun Club allows campers to arrive as early as 7am and/or stay as late as 6pm.
Counselors in Training (CITs) receive first-hand experience working with campers and the opportunity to cultivate skills and knowledge. The goal of the program is to help teens acquire leadership skills that can be used at school, home and in the community.
Interested CIT families need to submit their application by May 1, 2023. Once an application is received, the Camp Director will contact the applicant and schedule a time for the interview and screening to finalize the selection process. *Please note that not everyone interviewed will be selected for the program* Space is limited.
