Summer Starts With Us:
Where Every Day is Packed with Fun and Discovery!

Join us for 11 weeks of fun at Chesterfield YMCA's Summer Day Camp, running from May 28-August 16! Our age-specific adventures, for kids ages 5-16, include daily activities from 9 am-4 pm, Monday through Friday—swimming, games, nature exploration, arts and crafts, and more. Add before and after camp care to extend hours.

Registration opens on December 26 – secure your child’s spot in YMCA Summer Day Camp 2024.

Traditional Camps (Ages 5-12)

Offered throughout the entire summer, these camps are designed for a wide variety of conventional interests that may include arts & crafts, group games, nature exploration, swimming, field trips and more. Camps are themed weekly. Most camp activities are held outdoors with indoor activities provided based on the day and theme. Day campers are divided into groups by grade level or age.

Special Interest Camps (Ages 5-14)

Special interest camps are designed to offer activities focused on a particular interest while incorporating overall traditional Y camp principles. Camp size may be smaller and may be offered either indoors or outdoors based on the specific interest. From 9 am-noon, campers participate in their special interest camp. From noon-4 pm, campers participate in traditional camp activities.

Arts & Humanities Camps (Ages 6-14)

Our arts & humanities camps encourage personal expression and the freedom to create, and provide new experiences for kids. Creativity abounds at the Y.

Many of our Arts & Humanities camps include Theater Camp. Taught by theatre professionals dedicated to the high-quality arts education of our community's youth, campers will have tons of fun building their performance skills and stretching their creative muscles. Choose from a variety of concentrations, including acting, musical theater full-scale production, and more

Aquatics Camps (Ages 8-14)

Aquatic camps are designed for swimmers of all levels. Your child will become comfortable in the water, increase swimming skills, practice water safety and receive a great start to refining skills while making friends and having fun! Activities include swim lessons, games, water safety skills and splash time.

Sports Camps (Ages 6-13)

Campers spend their day immersed in a specific sport learning fundamental skills and then applying those skills in a game setting. The focus is on introducing and/or improving skills for each sport with emphasis on individual skill development, teamwork, and building self-confidence in an environment that encourages having fun and making friends.

Fun Club Before & After Camp Care (Ages 5-12)

Fun Club, the Y's Before & After Camp Care, is available as an add-on to all camps at an additional fee. Fun Club allows campers to arrive as early as 7am and/or stay as late as 6pm.

Counselor-in-Training (Ages 13-16)

The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program at the Chesterfield YMCA offers teens ages 13-16 the opportunity to gain practical experience working with campers while cultivating essential skills and knowledge. The program's primary goal is to empower teens with leadership abilities that extend to their school, home, and community life.

Families interested in the CIT program should submit their applications by April 12, 2024. Once an application is received, the Camp Director will contact the applicant to arrange an interview and screening, finalizing the selection process. It's important to note that due to limited space, not all interviewed applicants will be selected.

Program Requirements:

Time Period: Minimum of 4 Weeks
Hours: 8:45 am-4 pm
Fee: $45 per week
Participants exceeding 4 weeks will not be charged for weeks 5 and beyond
