Join us at the Circus for Circus Fun! This week features a kick-off to our summer camp with circus-themed activities, tricks, and a talent show involving kids and counselors.

🦖 TRADITIONAL CAMP (Dino Fun)

Dino Fun is a themed week all about dinosaurs! Campers will learn about different types of dinosaurs, get to dig for fossils, and "travel back in time" with them. This camp will provide imagination and exploration for all campers.

🤾 SPECIAL INTEREST: Recess Games (Week of June 1)

Get ready for a week packed with classic playground fun, friendly competition, and nonstop movement! During Recess Games, campers will explore the best activities from schoolyard recess—plus some creative new twists. Each day features energetic outdoor games, teamwork challenges, and plenty of opportunities for campers to build confidence, practice good sportsmanship, and make new friends.

Treasure Island is a camp with treasure maps, pirates, buried treasure, and more. Campers will participate in map making, treasure hunting, and learn about the history of pirates.

⚽ SPECIAL INTEREST: Soccer (Week of June 8)

Soccer camp is a fun opportunity to learn the basics of the game! Each day, campers will participate in engaging drills, competitions, and camp activities, culminating in a World Cup-style tournament at the end of the week. 

Gear Note: Soccer will be played both indoors and outdoors, so we recommend bringing both indoor flat shoes and outdoor cleats, along with shin guards.

👨‍🍳 SPECIAL INTEREST: Young Chefs (Week of June 8)

Young Chefs provides campers the opportunity to learn culinary basics from our Y staff! This includes essential lessons on kitchen safety and etiquette. Expect kids to prepare a morning dish, a main course, and an afternoon treat each day while learning techniques, recipes, and kitchen tips and tricks.

Pickleball is quickly becoming the fastest-growing sport among both adults and youth! Campers will learn the game of pickleball, including rules, swinging techniques, footwork, and more. Skills will be put to the test with daily games and a tournament on the final day of camp.

Stars and Stripes week comes at no better time than the week of the 4th of July! Kids will participate in fun activities designed around our nation and the 4th of July celebration.

🎭 ARTS & HUMANITIES: Storybook Musical

Storybook Musical gives campers the opportunity to take part in a week-long production and performance of their very own play! Utilizing the Chesterfield YMCA's unique theater, campers will handle script writing, stage prep, lines, and parts. The week culminates in a Friday production that they have worked toward since day one. Parents are invited to watch the show!

🌊 SPECIAL INTEREST: Water Park Hop

Campers will explore different water parks throughout the St. Louis area! Each day brings a new splash-filled adventure, with some traditional camp activities included before or after the trips. 

IMPORTANT: Campers are expected to be strong swimmers and must be able to pass a swim test to participate in this camp.

Amazing Adventure is a race around the world! Campers will compete in a race throughout the week, exploring cultures, customs, and competitions both indoors and outdoors. It's a journey of discovery and teamwork without ever leaving camp!

If photography is your camper's passion, this is the camp for them! They will learn the basics of photography and various techniques, capturing moments both indoors and outdoors. Throughout the week, campers will build a creative portfolio of their own photos to take home.

"Under the Spotlight: Lights, Camera, Action" is a camp where campers are the stars of the show! They will participate in daily activities that provide a movie star experience, including acting, group games, and creative imaginary play. They will even get to create their own star to bring home!

Sports take on a whole new meaning in our Backyard Sports camp! These activities focus on non-mainstream sports and leisure games, including wiffleball, soccer golf, bags (cornhole), obstacle courses, and more. If you are looking for unconventional sports and relaxed fun, this is the camp for you.

Vet Camp is designed for campers interested in the field of veterinary care. Campers will learn about animal anatomy and basic care techniques, and they will get to meet some animals, too! This week is packed with knowledge and hands-on learning for aspiring veterinarians.

Time Travelers is a camp where we get to step into the past and explore various time periods. Each day will be themed by a particular period of time in which kids will learn, explore, and participate in various group activities.

🎭 ARTS & HUMANITIES: Act It Out

Act It Out gives campers the opportunity to take part in a week-long production and performance of their very own play! Utilizing our theater stage, this camp covers script writing, stage prep, learning lines, and assigning parts. The week concludes with a production they have worked toward since the first day of camp. Parents are invited to watch the play on Friday!

🏕️ Overnight Camp Lakewood

The Y's overnight summer camp in Potosi, MO is an experience like no other. YMCA Camp Lakewood brings kids ages 6-17 from all walks of life together to try new things without judgment. With a sprawling 5,000 acre campus and a private 360-acre lake, Camp Lakewood becomes a summer sanctuary accommodating various interests, ranging from paddle boarding to horseback riding to campfires and more.
