YMCA Camp Lakewood is where kids come in the summer time to have fun, learn new skills, make new friends, and to simply be a kid. Your camper will forget all about television, video games, and smartphones while discovering the ultimate childhood experience, all within the safe and trusted environment of the Y. With a 360-acre lake, over 5,000 acres of forest-covered hills, caves, creeks and more, there are many opportunities for natural exploration and experiential learning.

The classroom is a great avenue for learning, but stepping into nature with our Outdoor Education program supplements traditional education in a real and unique way. Kids can observe and interact with nature – sometimes even getting their hands dirty while experiencing the great outdoors. From mid-August to Mid-May, Camp Lakewood is an Outdoor Education facility when summer camp is not in session. We provide a natural setting for experiential outdoor education, group bonding, and leadership training – all created and based on the needs of your group.
