Exercise for Parkinson's programming at the YMCA

Community Health & Well-Being

Finding strength, support and hope at the Y.

When a Downtown Belleville YMCA member was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2022, he was frightened by what the future might hold. But through the Y's Exercise for Parkinson's program, he found a supportive community and a renewed sense of hope.

By making the program part of his weekly routine, he has found greater balance in his life, physically, mentally and spiritually. He credits the encouragement, instruction and friendships he's developed at the Y with helping him stay positive and keep moving forward, one day at a time.
