Child watch at the YMCA is offered as a member benefit and provides a fun, safe, and stimulating environment for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years. While you're swimming laps, walking the track, taking a group exercise class, or just relaxing with a complimentary cup of coffee, you can be sure your little ones are in great hands with our trained and dedicated staff.

Child Watch FAQs

All you need to know about Child Watch!

Child Watch is provided at all of our YMCA locations, with the exception of Randolph County YMCA and Clinton County YMCA.

Child Watch is available for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years, who are active on a Household or Single Adult Household membership.

Child Watch is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Ratios vary per branch and may differ based on room size and staffing.

While the time limit may vary per location, the time allowed will not exceed 3 hours per day.

Please refrain from bringing any personal toys, electronics, car seats and strollers.

If your child is upset and we cannot soothe them after 10 minutes, you will be notified.

Children who have been ill must be fever-free and symptom-free for 24 hours before participating in Child Watch.
