From Thrills to Creativity: Discover a Multitude of Activities at YMCA Camp Lakewood!
Our extensive list of activities provides chances to challenge, inspire, create, and simply have fun. From archery and canoeing to arts & crafts and swimming, our camp activities cover plenty of opportunities to try something new.
Please note that while not every activity is offered for every session, there's always a variety to keep campers engaged and excited. All campers will have a mix of choice and scheduled activities to fill their week.
Included Cabin Activities
Experienced program counselors teach activities and skills throughout the week providing opportunities to develop sportsmanship, courage, healthy risk-taking, independence, goal-setting, flexibility, responsibility, and self-discovery. The camp fee covers all activities. Trail rides are included in the cost of camp for Adventurers and Explorers.
During each session, EVERY camper will participate in activities centered around our waterfront, target sports and activities, arts and crafts, outdoor recreation, and leadership.
Extra Activities
Campers may choose to attend these specialized activities held in Traditional Camp weeks, for an added fee. All necessary supplies and gear will be provided. Sign up for these activities when you register online.
- Advanced Arts & Crafts (ages 8-16): $135 for four days
- Horsemanship (ages 8-16): $225 for four days
- Ceramics (8-16 years old): $35 for one day
Traditional Camp Daily Schedule & Activity Times:
- 7:45 am: Morning Flag
- 8:00 am: Breakfast
- 8:40 am: Clinic 1
- 9:40 am: Clinic 2
- 10:40 am: Cabin Activity, Unit Swim, or All Camp Game
- 12:00 pm: Lunch and Rest Hour
- 1:40 pm: Smorgasbord
- 3:00 pm: Grab n' Go
- 3:45 pm: Clinic 3
- 4:45 pm: Clinic 4
- 5:45 pm: Evening Flag
- 6:00 pm: Dinner
- 7:00 pm: Evening Activity
- 9:00 pm: Lights Out Main Camp
- 10:00 pm: Lights Out East Camp
