Support Our Life-Changing Work

For more than 20 years, the O'Fallon Y has responded to the changing needs of our region and offered relevant and intentional programs and services - for all. Today, our community is growing as more young families move into the O'Fallon area.

With programs and spaces in high demand, our building is bursting at the seams. We need to expand our existing space in order to keep up with this demand and offer new and innovative programming for a changing generation.

With your help, we can create spaces that support our neighbors and help them thrive.

Need: Our current gymnasium cannot accommodate the demand for sports, recreation, family and fitness programming. There are more than 1,000 kids enrolled in each session and 400 on the waitlist. In addition, we need space for fitness classes, summer camp, and more older adult programming.

Our Response: We plan to build a second gymnasium that will provide opportunities for more youth sports, adult recreation leagues, and indoor space for our 500+ day campers during inclement weather. In addition, it can accommodate the very popular pickleball, which keeps our older adults engaged and active.

Need: Nearly two in three adults struggle with obesity and being overweight, contributing to incidences of chronic diseases. The stresses of today's world can take a toll without regular exercise and time for wellness.

Our Response: New state-of-the-art wellness spaces will allow us to expand our ability to serve more people and proactively address chronic disease. New studio space will provide more opportunities for wellness in a supportive and welcoming environment, while also offering flexibility to offer programs like martial arts, ballet, and yoga. Improved locker rooms will ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for people of all abilities and families of all types.

Need: Kids spend an average of more than seven hours a day looking at screens. Many parents - especially single parents - struggle to find the time and support to be healthy.

Our Response: A new, modernized Child Watch and Kids Adventure Zone will allow us to serve more kids and the entire family. Our new age-appropriate and inviting spaces will provide an unplugged environment where kids can have fun, while being active and creative. The Kids Adventure Space will be a STEM-based environment and can be used as an additional day camp venue. Parents will have peace-of-mind knowing their kids are in the best care.

Need: Families and communities are increasingly busy, disconnected and isolated. Seniors and teens seek designated spaces where they can socialize and stay connected. Our facility lacks meeting space for education and small group gathering.

Our Response: New multi-functional space will provide social and program spaces for seniors during the day and enriching opportunities for our tweens, including STEM and robotics when school is out. With the new Community Kitchen, we can offer family cooking classes and education for our members. The space will allow us to be a community resources, hosting local groups and providing a place for seniors to socialize and stay connected.

Need: Our facility is dated and the layout is disjointed. People are seeking more welcoming spaces to come together in community and with family.

Our Response: The entire facility will get a refresh, enhancing the building character and appeal. A new lobby and open common areas will allow space to connect and provide greater visibility and safety throughout.

Need: Families - especially those with young children - need opportunities to spend time together in a fun, safe environment. In addition, our aging slide is not conducive to kids and swimmers of all abilities.

Our Response: We will modernize our aquatics area with a new indoor, zero-depth splash pad, creating opportunities for families to play and bond.
