The Gateway Region Y is proud to partner with Cardinals Care, Boniface Foundation, and Miracle League on construction of a new Y Adaptive Sports Complex on the campus of the South County YMCA. The complex will feature a barrier-fee dugout, synthetic turf field, accessible field & walking track, and an accessible-sensory-rich playground. Plus, enjoy a spectator pavilion and concession stand! See below for our latest construction updates.

Most recently, foundations have been completed and both buildings of the complex have been constructed. Installation has started on the playground equipment and on the canopy over the field entrance and bleachers. See below for more updates!
September 2022

August 2023

February 2024
Foundations are complete and both buildings of the complex have been constructed. The scoreboard frame has been installed in the outfield. The walking track between the baseball field and soccer field has been poured.
March 2024
Installation of playground equipment has started. Installation has started on the canopy over the baseball field entrance and bleachers.

Adaptive sports programs at the Y provide children and adults with disabilities the chance to play sports and participate in learning opportunities in a safe, fun atmosphere. We offer many adaptive sports programs year-round including adaptive basketball, baseball, bowling and more!
