What's summer without the occasional roadtrip? We invite you to visit us off Highway AA in Potosi, MO for summer camp's opening day check-in. Families will have a few options during check-in.
CHECK-IN: EXPRESS LANE
The express lane option is for the campers who are ready to jump into the fun on their own.
CHECK-IN: PARK-AND-WALK
The park-and-walk option allows you to help your camper meet our staff and be escorted to their cabin by you. Our qualified summer staff will take it from there.
Family and friends are welcome to stay at Trout Lodge if you're not quite ready to leave (call 888-FUN-YMCA to reserve your room at Trout Lodge)! But, our summer camp cabin groups are designed to create a welcoming environment from Day 1. Your camper will embark on their individual adventure at camp and will be excited to see you at check-out.
CHECK-OUT: PICKING UP AT CAMP LAKEWOOD
Your registration will include information about who will pick up your camper. Be sure to communicate any changes with us ahead of time, as we will only release campers to their designated adult. While check-in is an intentionally streamlined process, check-out invites campers to share Camp Lakewood with their friends and family who are picking them up. See the sights and hear the stories from your camper! Soak up the views of Sunnen Lake and enjoy the ambiance as the last day of camp comes to a close.
You'll also be able to enjoy a family dinner and closing remarks from our camp director. Participation in the dinner is optional; however, we request you RSVP with the link in your Session Newsletter to let us know you're coming to the family dinner during check-out.
CHECK-OUT: PICKING UP AT SOUTH COUNTY YMCA
Can't make it to Potosi Friday evening? Don't worry! We'll have bus transportation back to St. Louis available. Our bus will transport campers to the South County YMCA on Friday. We will release campers to the adult designated for pick-up on their registration form, so bring your photo ID with you. The bus to the South County Y is $50 and you must be there by 5:30 pm to pick up your camper. You can add this option during registration.
