The health of ALL is not only a top priority, but it’s part of our mission. Due to COVID-19, our YMCA branches are currently closed; however, we continue to offer limited emergency childcare programming, supporting the childcare needs of our first responders, medical professionals, and essential personnel that must continue their work in this challenging time.

Maintaining A Healthy Environment

With growing concerns about coronavirus in our community, we want to share these resources to keep you connected and keep you, your family, and friends healthy and safe.

  • Registrations can also be taken over the phone. Forms must be filled out and waivers signed prior to the child attending, or at drop-off.
  • Children with current IEP, Behavior Intervention or 504 Plans will require additional Inclusion Services Paperwork to be completed, received and reviewed prior to attendance.
  • Additional forms will be required for enrollment of children with medical conditions and a copy of court custody papers.

Wellness Checks
The following preventative measures have been implemented at all child care facilities:

  • Daily health checks will be completed upon arrival for all children. If child care is denied we will require the child to have a doctor’s note to return to the center.
  • According to the CDC, if a child’s temperature is 100°F or higher (or 99°F or higher as taken under the armpit), they have a fever and care will be denied.
  • Children must be fever-free (without the use of fever-reducing medicine) for the last 72 hours.
  • Answering “yes” to specific questions related to travel, sickness, or contact with individuals under quarantine or with a confirmed case of COVID-19 may cause denial of care.
  • A YMCA staff member will escort children into the center. Parents/guardians will not be allowed past a certain checkpoint. You will sign-in/out at the designated location. Visitor access to the center will be restricted.
