Summer Day Camp 2020 - Let the Adventure Begin!

SUMMER CAMP IS OPEN! The Gateway Region YMCA is excited to hold summer camp beginning June 8, and we can't wait to welcome your child to enjoy summer as it should be through our fun, action-packed and most of all, safe camp programs.

The safety of our campers and staff is our first priority.  While we have implemented many modifications to help ensure the health and safety of everyone, families can still count on an exceptional experience for their children.

Whether your child is interested in exploring, creating, or possibly entertaining, Summer Day Camp at the Y provides the perfect solution. We can't wait to see you!

The health and safety of our campers and staff is very important to us. You will notice the following safety measures during our summer camp program:

  • Wellness checks of all campers upon arrival and throughout the day
  • Wellness checks for staff
  • Limited group size to ensure social distancing
  • Staggered drop-off and pick-up times to limit gathering
  • No swimming or field trips at this time. Water-play activities will take the place of swimming, and guest presenters will take place of field trips.
  • Handwashing will take place multiple times throughout the day
  • Routine cleaning and disinfecting will be done on frequently touched surfaces and objects throughout the day

**Health and safety regulations will be updated as we receive new guidelines from local health officials. Camp participants will be notified of those changes before camp begins.

Face masks will be required to be worn by all camp staff and all campers when social distancing is not possible, and indoor activities are taking place.

You can view the list of unavailable camps by branch here.

Traditional Summer Day Camp, Outdoor Ranger Camp, and limited Specialty Camps are available. Also, our overnight camp, YMCA Camp Lakewood in Potosi, is offering camp with a delayed start date.

If you were enrolled in camp and it was cancelled, you can view the list of open camps by location at the top of the page. From there, you will be able to see open spaces available for camps and you can register online.

All camps will be held from 8 am - 5:30 pm so there isn't an intermixing of groups.

Fun Club will also not be available during this time.

Camp operation hours are 8 am - 5:30 pm. If you plan to drop off after 9:30 am, or pick up before 4 pm, please give advanced notice to your branch Camp Program Director.
